PROTECTION & COORDINATION
ECE’s Protection & Coordination Department provides power system protection engineering, ensuring electrical safety, equipment reliability, and operational continuity across all voltage levels.
ECE’s protection engineers design and program complete protection systems for transmission, substation, and distribution networks. Our services include coordination studies, relay logic design, relay programming and testing, control panel wiring, and programming for electromechanical, microprocessor, and digital relays. The team conducts detailed fault-current and arc-flash studies to safeguard personnel and infrastructure, and develops custom relay settings and coordination diagrams to ensure selective fault isolation.
ECE also offers advanced integration of automation systems, SCADA, and RTAC devices using IEC-61850 and DNP3 protocols, providing clients with modern, data-driven operational visibility. What distinguishes ECE is our ability to blend protection engineering with automation and system planning expertise. This ensures that protection schemes not only safeguard equipment but also align with long-term operational goals, minimizing outages and improving power quality.
The Value ECE Provides
Complete design and programming of protective relay and control systems.
Improved reliability through selective fault coordination and fast fault clearance.
Compliance with IEEE, NESC, and utility-specific protection standards.
Arc-flash and safety studies to protect personnel and assets.
